Advocate.
What?
Our Policy and Advocacy Hub provides a space for students to develop their ideas through research and policy design. Through this initiative, students will gain vital experience whilst working towards influencing the legal industry and social mobility policy. The Advocate programme will have two national teams:
-
Advocate Foundation: focused on members still in secondary education.
-
Advocate Trailblazers: focused on members at university level.
The teams will work to research fair practice and recruitment policy, alongside lobbying for change. Their work will culminate in the creation of an annual report on the legal industry and social mobility, with a focus on Chambers and the bar.
Their research will be presented at the Annual Qualifying Dinner. An opportunity open to all of our members through an application form. The dinner will be a networking event, with invitations being extended to barristers and Chambers. The dinner is also aimed at making our members more comfortable and prepared for the formalities of bar life.
Who?
